Pain Facts
One in four Americans suffers from chronic pain.
Common forms of chronic pain are back pain, headaches, arthritis, joint and muscular pain and pain from injury.
Anxiety, stress, depression, anger and fatigue interact in complex ways with chronic pain and decrease the body’s production of natural pain killers.
Negative feelings may increase the level of substances that amplify the sensations of pain.
Symptoms of chronic pain may include (but are not limited to) weakness, numbness, tingling, sleeping difficulties, lack of energy and depression.
