Tips for Stroke Prevention

  • Know your numbers. Keep a log of your numbers.   These may include blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride values, glucose readings, hemoglobin A1C, weight, and body mass index.  Review your numbers at your next doctors visit.
  • Take medication as prescribed.
  • If you take any over the counter medication, herbal medicines, or supplements, discuss these with your doctor.
  • Maintain regular checkups with your doctor.
