DMH Senior Behavioral Health Services offers both inpatient and outpatient programs for adults age 55 and older suffering from psychiatric, emotional and/or behavioral issues.
What inpatient services are available?
Our inpatient program offers psychiatric intervention in a healing environment in a specialized nursing unit for adults who are experiencing a wide range of emotional, social and behavioral issues that affect the healthy function of their daily lives.
What outpatient services are available?
Our intensive outpatient program is designed to maximize independence, improve daily living skills and help alleviate symptoms that may interfere with the ability to function. A typical patient will attend three outpatient sessions a week initially, and adjust to individual circumstances.
Are services covered by my insurance?
Services are covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare and commercial insurance.
Our program assists seniors struggling with life-altering transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, problem solving, aging and disease management. These issues are addressed through individual, group and family therapy; coping and positive living skills; grief and loss resolution; medication management; communication and conflict resolution; stress management; assertiveness training; and health and wellness training.
We believe that a supportive, family-oriented environment is one of the first steps to recovery and encourage family involvement in our patients’ care.
