Nurse Anesthesia Program

The Millikin University and Decatur Memorial Hospital Nurse Anesthesia Program is jointly provided by Decatur Memorial Hospital and Millikin University. Our program places a strong emphasis on performance learning opportunities focusing on advanced knowledge and technical skills required for unrestricted nurse anesthesia practice. We consistently prepare graduates to be proficient in providing safe perianesthetic care and anesthetic management that utilizes their knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills to fulfill their professional role as CRNAs.

  • The Nurse Anesthesia Program is an 88-credit, 36 month full-time course of study culminating in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
  • Our BSN- DNP curriculum is front loaded, providing doctoral-level nursing courses in the first 18 months of study, followed by anesthesia-specific courses and clinical rotations in the last 18 months of the program.
