Decatur Memorial Hospital Cancer Care Institute Receives Funds
May 30, 2017…Decatur, IL… A check for more than $22,000.00 was presented to Decatur Memorial Foundation and DMH Cancer Care Institute today from E.ON North America, a developer, builder, and operator of more than 3,000 MW of renewable wind, solar and energy storage generation across the U.S. The check was presented to the Foundation through an employee giving memorial campaign in memory of former E.ON employee Michael Radford.
The money raised will be used to provide financial assistance and support for cancer patients. The E.ON employee giving memorial raised an initial $10,000, and was then matched by E.ON for a total of more than $22,000. “Nothing I can say can express the genuine gratitude that we at the DMH Cancer Care Institute have for the employees of E.ON who, in honor of their friend and colleague, donated so generously to help cancer patients in our community,” said Kim Wolpert, Executive Director, Oncology Services.
Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH), located in Decatur, Ill., is a 300 bed, not-for-profit, community hospital that has been providing medical care since 1916 for the residents of Central Illinois. Today, DMH has nearly 2,150 dedicated employees and 300 physicians. DMH encompasses 11 state-of-the-art centers of excellence.
