Decatur Memorial Hospital To Host Alzheimer’s/Dementia Support Group
Nov. 14, 2019…Decatur, Ill…Decatur Memorial Hospital is now offering a support group for those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The DMH Alzheimer’s/Dementia Support Group will provide resources, the latest information, and support.
The group’s first meeting will be held at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20 in Café DMH meeting room 2. This no-cost program is coordinated through the DMH Senior Behavioral Health Services staff.
“Are we more than a support group? Yes,” said DMH Senior Behavioral Services executive director Errika Bobbitt, RN. “We are Decatur’s experts in caring for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Our recent affiliation with Memorial Health System has strengthened our ability to serve the Decatur area communities by enlarging our specialty services.”
This support group is offered for anyone who is impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, especially caregivers, family members, nurses, physicians, memory care staff, assisted living directors and clergy.
