DMH CrossFit Enhance Hosts Fifth Annual D-Town Throwdown
Sept. 18, 2017…Decatur, Ill…The fifth annual DMH CrossFit Enhance D-Town Throwdown will be Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the Decatur Memorial Hospital CrossFit Enhance gym located at 2122 N. 27th St., in Decatur.
The D-Town Throwdown is a team-based fitness competition, comprised of teams of three males and three females, held at the DMH CrossFit Enhance gym.
The competition features Rx, Scaled, and Masters Divisions, and is renowned as one of the highest quality fitness competitions in the Midwest.
This year will be the 5th annual D-Town Throwdown, with 46 teams, totaling about 280 athletes competing across the three divisions. The event spans two days, September 30th and October 1st, with the teams having the opportunity to compete in up to eight workouts. The events range from running, to lifting weights, to high skill gymnastics, and strongman challenges, all of which will challenge the team’s physical and mental capacity, as well as how well they can work together as a team.
Admission for spectators is five dollars.
Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH), located in Decatur, Ill., is a 300 bed, not-for-profit, community hospital that has been providing medical care since 1916 for the residents of Central Illinois.
