DMH to Host Free Stroke Symposium, “A Stroke for All Ages” on September 20

Decatur Memorial Hospital will host a free Stroke Symposium at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Classroom Complex at the Hospital. The event titled, “A Stroke for All Ages” will feature health care specialists and leaders in the areas of stroke prevention, detection and treatment presenting on a variety of stroke-related topics:

  • 6:00 p.m. – Brain Attack Introduction – Oliver Dold, M.D., Neurosurgeon, DMH Medical Group
  • 6:15 p.m. – Stroke at Age 25 – Jesse Reising, Joining us Via Teleconference, 2007 Eisenhower High School Graduate, Football Standout, Yale Graduate, Harvard Law School Graduate, Chicago Prosecutor
  • 6:45 p.m. – 911 & EMS – Steve Munson – Training Officer
  • 7:00 p.m. – Interventional Radiology – Restoring Blood Flow – Oliver Dold, M.D., Neurosurgeon, DMH Medical Group
  • 7:15 p.m. – Stroke in Young Patients – Anthony Collins, M.D., Neurologist
  • 7:30 p.m. – Stroke of Undetermined Source: Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies – Fazeel Siddiqui, M.D., Neurologist, DMH Medical Group
  • 7:45 p.m. – Question & Answer Panel, Drawing of Door Prizes

In addition, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., free health screenings including Carotid, Blood Pressure, and Stroke Risk will be available.
