Remember Loved Ones with Holiday Lights at Decatur Memorial Hospital

Tuesday November, 28th 2017

Nov. 27, 2017…Decatur, Ill…Remember your loved one with a holiday light at Decatur Memorial Hospital. For each $10 donation, a light will be designated to shine at DMH through the holiday season outside Café DMH. You will also receive a remembrance card with your loved one’s name written in calligraphy as a keepsake.

Since 1990, the hospital’s landscaping glows with hundreds of white lights; each shining light symbolizing the life of a loved one both past and present.

Decatur Memorial Foundation will host One Light to Remember, a lighting ceremony to commemorate and honor loved ones, on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 5:30 p.m., in Café DMH at Decatur Memorial Hospital. The event begins with performances by Millikin University’s A Cappella Choir, and First Presbyterian Church Bells on Wheels Handbell Choir. At 6 p.m., there will be an indoor lighting ceremony, which will include prayer and holiday carols. Refreshments will be served just prior to the lighting ceremony. Please enter Café DMH from the Union Street door.

To remember your loved one with a light, call Decatur Memorial Foundation, at 217-876-2105 or Register Online.
